NaNoWriMo Wrap-Up

Whew, what a month! I hit 50K yesterday evening, which is pretty late in the month for me. I also “cheated” a bit at NaNo this year–not all of my words were on a single project. Most of them were on a novel (that is now in my discard folder), but some of them were written for short stories or my Pitch Wars revisions. Final word count for the month was 50,395. I’m now spending the next two days working on my final Pitch Wars revisions before I send this draft back to my mentor for line edits (eep!).

And I have another announcement to make! I had a steampunk story chosen for Less Than Three Press‘s post-apocalyptic anthology. The guidelines were to write a story with queer characters that has a hopeful ending. I’m so excited for you to eventually meet my charming detective and his stoic airship captain husband! An announcement will go up when that anthology is available.
